The New Mexico Association of Regional Councils (NewMARC) was formed on April 14, 1972 when the seven regional Councils of Government voted to create a statewide Council through the adoption of a Joint Powers Agreement.
Today, NewMARC supports the seven regional Councils of Government by facilitating inter-CoG communication, developing and maintaining partnerships with state and federal organizations, and advocacy at all levels.
